The ancient market town of Montrichard, with its bustling Friday market, well-preserved Renaissance buildings, spectacular hill-top castle and wide variety of excellent shops and restaurants is just 6 km distant.  The picturesque old Maison du Passeur (the original ferryman's house) on the bridge over the Cher is now a much-frequented pub, and in summer a lively café/bar by the riverside beach offers varied entertainment.  Canoes, kayaks and pedaloes can be hired on the river, and there are daily excursions by river boat to Chenonceaux.

Montrichard
